Puerto Peñasco , Mexico , has been going through an unbelievable transformation. Not to long ago it was a slow paced little fishing town with the occasional weekend drunk-fest. It is rapidly becoming known internationally as an investor’s goldmine, with condos, single family homes, and raw land investment potential. We now have wonderful restaurants, nice resorts, and upscale shops, but you can still enjoy the many novelty locations like Rodeo Drive or Shacks Fifth Avenue, and buy the fresh fish at the Malecon.

The concept of interval ownership discussed here reflects actual equitable ownership and not simply allotments of time, as found with “Time shares” sales. Owners may rent, sell or exchange their weeks just like any other real estate. The investment also grows with appreciation just like other real estate investments. There are several large scale developments exclusively marketing this concept.

With newly available mortgage money at reasonable rates more and more people are able to take advantage of the current growth explosion we are experiencing. Others are turning self directed IRAs into real estate investments in and around Rocky Point.
